Roger never met a stranger and loved helping others. He valued hard work and one of his favorite pastimes was telling his boys how to do a job.   Roger was a big fan of Shamrock sports and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren compete.  He was a founding member of the Barnesville Horseshoe Club and an avid competitor in many national horseshoe tournaments all around the United States. Roger attended the Barnesville First United Methodist Church and he previously worked for the Y&O Coal Company and Scio Laminated Products.  Roger was a member of the Barnesville Fraternal order of Eagles, Loyal order of Moose, and VFW Post 6542.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Wehr, and his siblings: Vernon Wehr, Donnie Wehr, Helma Stephens, Curtis Wehr, Jimmy Wehr, Freddy Wehr, Eva Mae Brown, and Lawrence Wehr.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Judy (Ferguson) Wehr; his two sons, Dean (Kim) and Greg (Gina) all of Barnesville; daughter-in-law, Nichelle Jackson of California; nine grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; siblings: Bernice Moore, Norman Wehr, Janet Stump, Velma Neuhart, Beverly Legg, and Norma Lee Schweikert; and his beloved dog, Ginger.

As per Roger’s wishes, no services will be held.

Roger always said if he ever won the lottery, he would donate to the “little fellas”, so in lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to:
