Ricky Bailey Obituary

Ricky Lee Bailey

Ricky Lee Bailey, 55, of Bethesda, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly, from an accident at his home on December 31, 2020.  He was born January 15, 1965 in Bellaire, Ohio, son to Glen and Barbara Graham Bailey.

Working for Shelly and Sands Asphalt Company, Rick was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend.  A compassionate and considerate man, he asked for so little, but gave so very much, to all whose path he crossed.  He was very active with youth sports, sold 50/50 tickets for Union Local Boys’ Basketball, and was very involved not only with his own children, but many, many children throughout his journey.

Rick was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure by those who survive; his wife of 31 years, Brenda Bailey of Bethesda; sons, Jacob Bailey and soon to be daughter-in-law, Rebekah of Ashville, Josef Bailey of Bethesda; parents, Glen and Barbara Bailey; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dale and Lori Russell; sister, Glena (James) Wagner of Bethesda, and twin sister, Vicky Bailey of Smithfield; brother, Terry Bailey of Texas and Matthew Bailey of Alaska.  Rick was also a very special uncle to Josh, Amy, Maddox and Vada, Cristian, Jamie and Kelly, Deegan and Adalynn; many other nieces and nephews; and grandpuppies, Tucker and Gracie.

Family and friends will be welcome for visitation, Monday, January 4, 2021 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Bethesda Christian Church, 40601 Bethesda-Belmont Rd., Bethesda, where the service will be conducted, Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM.  Pastor Tim Snyder will be officiating.  Interment will take place privately.

With the uncertainty of the current COVID pandemic, please wear a mask or facial covering upon entering the church and observe all social distancing guidelines.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Rick Bailey Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Union Local School District.
