MARY ALICE HARRISON
Mary Alice Harrison, who graced this earth for 85 years and loved to sing, now sings with the angles. Born May 11, 1935 in Adrian, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Frances Toms Barber and one of eight children, bringing joy to the Barber household.
She enjoyed photography as a way of bringing people together and enjoying life. Choosing to enjoy life, she faced every day with positivity, loved cats and dogs, traveled the world with her husband, and began each journey, one step at a time.
Mary Alice was preceded in death by her first husband, Don Brown; second husband, Don Harrison; sister, Wendy Barber; and brothers, John, Wilfred, and George Barber.
Remembering Mary Alice who asked for so little, but gave so much, are those who survive; daughters, Karensa Uhrig of Colorado, Annie (Mel) Goebel of Florida, Cathy (Sterling) Clifton of Virginia; sons, Victor (Pam) Brown of Oklahoma, Joe (Bea) Brown of Bethesda, Ohio; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Anna Barber, Addie Willis, Elizabeth Curran, and Lucinda Barber.
Please join family and friends for visitation, Saturday, June 6, 2020 from 11:00 am until the time of service beginning at 1:00 pm, Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda. Mary Alice’s son-in-law, Pastor Sterling Clifton, will officiate. Her journey will end with interment taking place at Leonidas Cemetery, 53312 Fulton Road, Leonidas, Michigan on Monday, June 8, 2020 at 1:00 pm.
The family wishes to express a warm and heartfelt thank you to Walton Home and staff for the compassion, friendship, and tender care given to Mary Alice and her family during her time there.
