Kenneth Roy Kemp, 90, of Bethesda, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023 at his home with his wife, Lois, by his side. Kenneth, known by family and friends as “Sunshine”, was born on August 26, 1933 in Belmont, Ohio, the son of the late George and Lucille (Shultz) Kemp.
Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the Barnesville Masonic Lodge #89, and a member of the Belmont Legion #312. He retired from Cravat Coal Company in 1984 and retired from Goshen Township as a Trustee. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Kenneth leaves behind his beloved wife of 68 years, Lois (Poulson) Kemp, thirteen sisters and brothers, several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 2-6pm with a Masonic service at 6pm at the Wilson Funeral Home, Bethesda Chapel, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio 43719. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.
