JOHN T. MASON

John T. Mason, 93, of Bethesda, Ohio, passed away at Emerald Pointe on December 30, 2020. Born on September 18, 1927 near Boston, Ohio, he was the son of the late Carl and Esther (Dunfee) Mason.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Jane (Cowgill) Mason; his four siblings, Lee Mason, Hazel (Mason) Fitzgerald, Paul Mason, and an infant brother.

John loved life and was always quick to tease family and friends. He made everyone laugh and he loved his family, cars, and motorcycles. John rode his motorcycle until the age of 83. He was an avid Union Local Jets fan, cheering on his grandchildren at all their sporting games.

Surviving are John’s two sons, Bradley L. and Debbie Mason and Bryan P. Mason all of Bethesda; four grandchildren, Erin (Mason) and Brian Ballard of Plain City, Bryan M. and Valene Mason of Zanesville, Ashley (Mason) and Shad Watkins of Winterset, Zachary J. and Amy Mason of Bethesda; seven great-grandchildren, Seth Watkins, Chase Watkins, Maddox Mason, Ellie Ballard, Anna Watkins, Vada Mason, and Julian Ballard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
