DENNIS MITCHELL LUCAS

Dennis Mitchell Lucas, 48, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly, November 14, 2021. Born October 2, 1973 in Wheeling, West Virginia, he was the son of Jack Lucas and Betty Humphrey Tucker.

Preceding Dennis in death are his maternal grandparents, William and Betty (Van Fossen) Humphrey; paternal grandfather, Lawrence “Bub” Lucas; uncles, Billy Humphrey and Larry Lucas; and aunt, Penny Humphrey.

Dennis is survived by his parents, father, Jack Lucas and wife, Bonnie; mother, Betty Tucker and husband, Carl; daughter, Abriauna Lucas; sisters, Angel Kulpa and fiancé, Brian Costello, Tanya Lucas and fiancé, David Swaybey, Kaylynn (Marvin) Fuentes, Jenn (John) Curran; step-sisters, Linda Kostelia and Jackie Tucker; step-brother, Richard Tucker; paternal grandmother, Mary Lucas; nephews, Shane, Alex, Liam, Daxon, Brycen, Abel; special uncle, Timmy Humphrey and his daughter, Tiffanie; uncle, Rusty (Mary Ann) Lucas; aunts, Theresa Starr and Misty (Jerry) Zong; many cousins and friends.

Very high-spirited and boldly living each day with a sense of excitement, Dennis loved to shoot pool, hunt, bow hunt, and gave new meaning to being a free spirit. His zest for life earned him the nickname, “Double D.”

Family and friends are welcome for visitation, Friday, November 19, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, where services will be held, Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 11:00.  Pastor Bob Merritt will officiate. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing.
