BRENDA P. BOWERSOCK
Brenda P. Bowersock of Barnesville, Ohio, left this world on October 16, 2021 at the age of 71, from her home, while surrounded by her loved ones. She was born to the late George and Lois (Bates) Andrews on September 1, 1950.
She will join her brother, George W. Andrews II and sister, Cheryl Lynne Burr. She leaves priceless memories to those who survive: her loyal husband, Charlie L. Bowersock of fifty three years; daughters, Kimberly (Mickey) Smith of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Brandee (William) Thomas of Barnesville, Ohio, and a niece that was like a daughter, Melissa (Ronald) Bartolo; grandchildren, Zackary Lyons of Bridgeport, West Virginia, Zane Lyons of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Joclyn (Caleb) Smith/Blake of Belmont, Ohio, Derek Smith of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Samantha (Trevor) Wood of Groveport, Ohio, Sydney Wells of North Carolina, and a great nephew whom was like a grandson, Drac Bartolo of St. Clairsville, Ohio; great grandchildren, Jane and Jackson Blake; siblings; sister, Freda (Richard) Marendt of Meadville, Pennsylvania; brother, John Richard (Ruth) Andrews of Barnesville, Ohio, Paul (Sharon) Andrews of Waldorf, Maryland, and James (Joyce) Andrews of Barnesville, Ohio; and several beloved nieces and nephews that were like her own children.
Brenda was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to everyone that had the honor of meeting her. She was a kind, loving, generous, and sweet soul that words fail to express. She had devoted her life to God and striving to be a good Christian.
She dedicated the last twenty years of her life helping others, by working in the dietary department of Barnesville Hospital. She loved to sew, bake, and was happiest spending time with her family.
The family would also like to express great gratitude and recognize a young friend, who spent time with her during her last stay in OSU hospital. She said he was like a son to her, Joseph Nielson of Columbus, Ohio.
A celebration of life will be held at the East Main Street Church of Christ on October 19, 2021 at 11am with Derrick Stephens officiating.
