BARBARA A. GAY

Barbara A. Gay, loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister passed away March 1, 2021. Born in Cleveland, Ohio February 23, 1958, she was the daughter of Shelvey (Davis) Harris and the late Robert Harris, Sr.

As it was always her passion to become a nurse, she had been rewarded many times over in making a positive impact on the lives of her patients, while providing comfort and care. Throughout her nursing career she was able to work closely with many doctors, ranging from family practice to cardiology, here in the Ohio Valley. For a period of time, Barbara lived most happily in the quiet ocean town of Jenson Beach, Florida and spent many days enjoying the beautiful beaches. She adored her family, enjoyed cooking, entertaining friends and family, and spoiling her granddogs, Nigel, Maxwell, Cooper, Logan, and Oliver.

Barbara will be remembered with love, by those who survive; daughters, Sheilese Norris of St. Clairsville, Jenna (Edward) Reed of Texas; granddaughter, Carley Norris of St. Clairsville; mother, Shelvey Harris of Pennsylvania; sisters, Kimberly (Danny) Eberhart, Janice and Penny Harris, Deanna Barnes; and brother, Robert Harris, Jr.

In keeping with Barbara’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Privately, with her family, interment will take place at a later date.
