Sarah Getzlaff Obituary

Sarah E. Getzlaff, 85, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, went home to be with her Creator, her Lord and Savior November 4, 2018.  She was born February 13, 1933 in Bellaire, Ohio, daughter of the late Paul and Betty Haught.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Haught, Jr.
Sarah's memory will live on in her family who survive; her husband of 62 years, Jerome Getzlaff, Sr. of St. Clairsville, Ohio; daughter, Julie Porter of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; sons, Jerry (Michelle) Getzlaff, Jr. of Largo, Florida, Jon (Wendy) Getzlaff  of St. Clairsville, Ohio; grandchildren, Alicia, Justin, Brian, Benjamin, Jeremiah, Fara Jo, and Heather; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Luke, Valerie, Isaac, Jayden, Joel, and Johnny; and sister, Romaine (Pete) Walburn.
She was an RN Nursing Instructor for 25 years. Because of her love for her God, her love for her family was a priceless gift that she gave openly, unconditionally, with all her heart and soul.  A true witness for the Lord, she set the example for others by sharing her strength, courage, and confidence.  A child of God.  A woman of faith.  A warrior of God.
Family and friends are invited to visit, Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service, beginning at 1 p.m., Bethesda Christian Church, 40601 Bethesda-Belmont Road, Bethesda, Ohio.  Pastor Michael Ream officiating.  Honoring the wishes of Sarah, a private family interment will take place at a later date.
The family has entrusted Sarah's care with Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, Bethesda, Ohio.

Family and friends are invited to visit, Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Bethesda Christian Church, 40601 Bethesda-Belmont Road, Bethesda, Ohio.

Service

The Memorial Service for Sarah will begin at 1 p.m., Bethesda Christian Church, 40601 Bethesda-Belmont Road, Bethesda, Ohio. Pastor Michael Ream officiating.

Interment

Honoring the wishes of Sarah, a private family interment will take place at a later date.
