RUTH SCOTT

Ruth Scott, 85, now rests in peace after entering her eternal home on August 31, 2019. Born June 15, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Dexter and Zelma Baker of Barnesville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Baker Barrett and brother, Dexter Baker, Jr.

Ruth’s memory will forever be cherished by those sadly left behind; her beloved husband of 66 years, Raymond Scott of Bethesda; her daughters, Debbie Grimes (Bob Schau) of Bethesda, Rita (Robert) Schultz of Barnesville; grandchildren, Amanda (Neil) Morrison of Bethesda, Scott (Sherry Pugh) Grimes of Steubenville, Ryan (Emily) Schultz of Grove City, Riley Schultz of Barnesville; two great-grandchildren, Allyssa and Cody Morrison of Bethesda; sisters, Blanch (John) Tipton of Florida, Gladys Smith of Sarahsville, Genevieve Armstrong, Freda Gingerly, and Shirley (Terry) Carpenter all of Barnesville, and Sarah (Scott) Cline of Batesville; and brother, Donald (Linda) Baker of Barnesville.

Ruth was a member of South Main Street Church of Christ in Bethesda. She was a talented seamstress and worked for several years at Jonathan Logan Sewing Factory in Barnesville. She was a loving mother, cherished grandmother, and a devoted wife. She had a warm and caring nature and her smile brightened the lives of those she touched with her kindness.

Ruth’s family has entrusted her final care with Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda. Friends and family are invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 from 11:00 am until the time of service, beginning at 1:00 at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda.
