LELAND P. SNYDER
Leland P. Snyder, 79, of Bethesda, Ohio, passed away, August 16, 2019, at his home with his family by his side. Born October 27, 1939 in Barnesville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Raymond and Myrtle (McEndree) Snyder.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Carla Snyder and brothers, Gerald and Harland Snyder.
Leland’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who survive; his wife of 59 years, Brenda Snyder; daughters, Joette (Mole) Martin, Jama (Dencil II) Legg; grandchildren, Kyle, Shay, and Dusty Martin, Wessley, Tyler, and Ethan McMahon, and Dencil Legg, III; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Zina, Layla, Rowen, Leland, Annie, Dax, Aslyn, Eva, Leisl, and Zia; and sister, Maxine Kirk.
A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Leland was a kind hearted and giving man and wanted nothing more than living a simple, down-to-earth life, and enjoying his farm. Leland was proud to serve his country in the United States Army, was a life time member of the VFW Post, was a retired journeyman ironworker out of ironworker local 549 Wheeling, and enjoyed motorcycles.
In honoring Leland’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be conducted, Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 2:00 PM, Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda. Pastor Joe Thorton will officiate.
