May 7, 1940 ~ November 16, 2019

 

On Saturday, November 16, 2019, Terry Brown, loving husband and father of two children, passed away at the age of 79 at his home, with his family by his side.

Terry was born on May 7, 1940 in Alledonia, Ohio to the late Ottis R (Winnie) Brown and Edna Milhoan (Roland) Murphy.

He was retired from O.D.O.T. in Morristown, Ohio after 31 years, as head mechanic.  He was a member of the Barnesville First Baptist Church and Seneca Lake Sportsman Club.  He had a passion for woodworking.  Terry was a true outdoorsman, loved fishing and hunting on the family farm. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James, Jeffery, & Scott Murphy. 

Terry is survived by his wife of 56 years F. “Ellen” (Freeman); two children, Kathy Jo and Chris Allen both of Barnesville, along with 7 grandchildren, Chris A., Jr., Nicole D., Ella C. Brown, Shane (Chelsea) Grimes all of Barnesville, OH, Kody (Allison) Grimes of Erie, PA, Katlin (Maddy) Grimes of Belmont, OH; 6 great-grandchildren, Kylie Brown of St. Clairsville, OH, Trevor Brown of Bridgeport, OH, Kendal Grimes of Belmont, OH, Jude and Zoey Grimes, and Cooper Truax all of Barnesville, OH; and special family friend, Dan Hudock.

He is also survived by 1 brother, Steven (Stephanie) Brown of Lancaster, CA; 6 sisters, Patricia Noe of Annville, KY, Kelley Mills of Bromley KY, Judith (Bruce) Morrison of TX, Patricia Basham of Yucaipa, CA,  Bridget (Keith) Crum, Cynthia (Brian) Jefferis, all of Barnesville, OH; sister-in-law, Karen Murphy of Grove Port, OH; and many nieces and nephews.

Terry has also left behind his devoted and beloved dog, TAZ.

A service for Terry will be announced at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, OH.
