EVA MAY JACKSON
Eva May Jackson, 105, of Barnesville, Ohio, was welcomed into God’s loving embrace and reunited with her husband, Donald, on June 20, 2019. She was born on October 19, 1913 in Salesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Rudolphin and Rosalee O’Connor St. Clair.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Jackson Sproul; grandson, Scott Bell; daughter-in-law, Ann Neely Jackson; and son-in-law, Jack Sproul.
Eva’s precious memory will forever live in the hearts of those who survive; daughter, Janet (Vincent) Conti of Bradenton, Florida; sons, Jerry (Marcia) Jackson of Alexandria, Ohio, Reverend John (Clair) Jackson of St. Clairsville, Ohio; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
An amazing and hard working woman, Eva was the owner and operator of the Barnesville Laundry and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whose family was her greatest gift from God. She enjoyed cooking for her family, loved her home and beautiful flowers, and taught the importance of a strong family foundation. Inspiring, her faith in God was immovable and she walked each day in faith.
She was full of life, a good sport, and enjoyed playing card games such as; Canasta and Three Hand Cinch. Living an impressively long life, she experienced many changes in her 105 years, from travel to medical, technology, and communication advances; and as Eva has proved, life expectancy.
Eva’s family will welcome guests for visitation, Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 1:00 pm until the time of service, beginning at 3:00 pm, Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Eva’s son, Reverend John Jackson will officiate. Interment will take place, Monday, June 24, 2019, 10:00 am, at Crestview Cemetery.
